"It’s such a breath of fresh air to know that the paintball media now has a writer who is not monosyllabic!" --Craig Miller, Draxxus

A self-taught professional writer and photographer of all things paintball, Silverman has played the game since 1993 when he first stepped into the woods with a Splatmaster in Northern Virginia. Since that time Silverman has played competitive paintball on the rookie, novice and amateur levels in both five and ten-man formats, managed paintball fields and stores in both Virginia and North Carolina, owned a paintball business, consulted for several paintball businesses, promoted a paintball tournament series, earned technical certification on Automags and EMags and worked as a freelance writer and photographer, all culminating in his addition to the Paintball 2Xtremes team in 2000, where he worked as Assistant Editor for five years.

"It's hard to find people who really care and put their 100% heart into what they do, but it's easy to see that quality in Josh Silverman. Writing and capturing paintball's best moments is what he was born to do. He's already done so much within the industry in such a short amount of time, more so than any other paintball veteran in the world. Josh is not just my mentor, but my friend. Thank you, Josh, for being an inspiration." --Bea Youngs

Leading up to his full-time employment with PB2X, Silverman attended Campbell University in North Carolina where he studied History and has been published with both pictures and words in PCRI, Paintball News, Action Pursuit Games, Crossfire Paintball Digest, Paintball Games International, Paintball Sports Magazine, FaceFull Magazine, Splat Magazine and Warpig.com. Silverman has acted as the Mid-Atlantic Correspondent for Paintball News and, more recently, has provided photography for Worr Game Products' VF-Tactical Autococker advertising and numerous Draxxus and VForce advertisements, was selected as a VIP Instructor at Ronn Stern's Paintball Camps, has been used as the principle subject for the cover artwork of 720's World Cup 2003 XBall DVD, appeared on 1Shot Productions' CFOA and Amateur Open DVD's and was recreated as a major character in Ronn Stern's full-color comic, FPS, published monthly in Crossfire Paintball Magazine. Silverman now acts as the Director of Marketing and Sponsorship for the CFOA five-man and XBall tournament series, the largest regional five-man series in the world. Currently the Associate Editor of Paintball Games International Magazine and Publicist and Photographer for DraXxuS DXS Paintballs and VForce Vision Systems, Silverman provides feature articles, photographs and columns for paintball's best publications and websites.

"Josh Silverman is one of the most unappreciated people in paintball. For years he has tirelessly worked to bring pictures and information to the paintball public in clever and unique ways. He has always been helpful and sacrificing in his efforts to help others in an industry where noble actions are few and far between. I am proud to call him my friend." --Tom Kaye, Airgun Designs

Josh contributes a great deal of photography to paintball magazines and websites each month. His photographic duties include providing product photography for the "Gear" and "Roundup" sections of Paintball Games International Magazine and for his numerous paintgun and gear reviews each month. Silverman also contributes interviews and on-field action photography and coverage for all the major paintball events he attends, for both Paintball Games International Magazine and ScenarioSource.com. Numerous photographs taken by Silverman have been used in advertisements for such products as the Worr Game Products VF-Tactical Autococker, V-Force PROfiler and GRILL goggle systems, Draxxus paintballs and in advertisements from companies including PB2X TV, National Paintball Supply, Diablo, Planet Eclipse and Empire. See examples of his work in "Greatest Hits." Silverman's photographs have been used on the sides of DraXxuS, DXS and XBall paintball boxes distributed at paintball parks and pro-shops around the world.
